eTwinning

eTwinning is a European Commission initiative, which aims to encourage European schools to collaborate using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The necessary infrastructure (ie online tools, services, support) is made available through the eTwinning platform. Teachers in any European country can form partnerships with each other and develop collaborative, pedagogical school projects in any subject area. The primary workspace is the eTwinning Portal and it is available in twenty-five languages. Teachers registered on eTwinning find each other, communicate, share resources and collaborate through the eTwinning platform. The eTwinning motto is “The community for schools in Europe”.

eTwinning is an essential part of the ICEPELL project, for it enables intercultural dialogue across borders as all participants, practitioners and students, enrich their learning and motivation through virtual collaboration and interaction.
